An Interview with the School of Healing Mastery
Ishbel Benzie's journey with Ancestral HeartHealing ™ has been a series of profound revelations where initially, her guardian ancestor appeared as a gentle woman named Evelyn.
‘I doubted it alot at first’, Ishbel told us.
However, one evening an unexpected flash of insight revealed Evelyn to be a Celtic shaman, and this connection resonated deeply with Ishbel's travels through the Scottish Highlands.
In a unique twist, Ishbel's encounters with Viking artifacts further solidified the ancestral link, her inner discomfort hinting at a link to the viking threat in Scotland's history. As Ishbel moved through the healing process, themes of persecution and witchcraft emerged, predominantly involving female ancestors. Notably, a poignant revelation about a sister's betrayal and subsequent hanging from a tree tied directly to a tree Ishbel had long called the "hanging tree" in her local village.
Ishbel has previously felt called to connect with the tree, without knowing its history was part of her own.
I was told, ‘I've infused my magic into that tree Ishbel, you need to go and sit with that tree...' For Ishbel these experiences reflected on changing the tree's identity from the "hanging tree" to the "tree of gifts." Ishbel's connection with her ancestor brought forth an earthly, rooted energy that resonated strongly with her.
Another powerful revelation centered around a safety wound, where Ishbel's ancestor had her hands severed by her father - due to fear of the power they held. In a surreal turn of events during the healing process, Evelyn, the guardian ancestor, intervened with a healing potion, reattaching the severed hands.
Ishbel, who has a medical background, had to suspend belief at the tingling sensations in her hands over the days that followed.
‘It was like, here is the power in your hands!’
As Ishbel became more grounded through the practice, she sensed Evelyn's physical touch for the first time, a powerful moment symbolizing the continuous presence of her guardian ancestor. Another connection emerged to a horse named Bella, who revealed her purpose as a guide to specifically help Ishbel communicate with animals.
As the sessions progressed, Ishbel's guardian ancestor evolved into what she described as a Celtic fairy. This encounter left Ishbel eager to delve deeper into the symbolism and meaning.
‘It’s been a crazy, but fun journey!’, Ishbel shared.
The experiences have not only brought ancestral connections to light but have also provided Ishbel with a profound understanding of herself, her lineage, and the transformative power of ancestral healing.
